Michael Townsend: 05/11/71 - 17/07/09

On the anniversary of the death of Michael Townsend from Carlton Colville, near Lowestoft, Suffolk, on 17 July 2010, 'Suffolk Ride' has published extracts from his partner, Jackie Capps' 'In Memoriam' testimony. Jackie (pictured with Michael) has allowed publication of her message in the hope that other riders will be reminded of the tragic consequences of just one mistake.

Michael was riding a Triumph Daytona 600cc motorcycle which was involved in a fatal collision with a vehicle on the A12 last year. He was 37 years old.

You can send you supportive thoughts to Jackie on jackiepotter3@hotmail.com

The full text of her memoriam is also available from her on request.

For others who have lost friends and loved ones as a result of road crashes the charity "Roadpeace" offers help: www.roadpeace.org.
