Road safety improvements

Suffolk County Council is committed to reducing road casualties. We are currently reviewing the information on collisions to see if there are any sites where safety can be improved.  As part of this work we look at sites with more motorcyclist collisions than normal and make changes to improve the road for motorcyclists.

As well as this work however, we need your help. You ride the roads. We would like to know of any locations where you think that minor changes to the road could reduce injuries to motorcyclists.

Schemes may include:
• New signs to inform motorcyclists of upcoming hazards
• Improvements to the road surface to reduce the risk of skidding
• Adjust metal covers in the road
• Alterations to road markings (large areas of white line marking within the riding line)

Please fill in the online form below. We will collate this information and begin making some of the improvements you suggest. We will keep you informed of the schemes we are able to implement though this website.
